CLASH.

Was ist das? Die CLASH-Moderatoren Elhamuddin Ehsas und Silas Hintze verhelfen ihren-KandidatInnen zu komischen Einsichten in den deutschen Alltag.CLASH: Adolescents from Afghanistan and Iraq and pupils from Hildesheim discover together life in their town for a web-video project of the culture club IQ - Interessengemeinschaft Kultur Hildesheim e.V.

What are teenagers who recently came to Germany are astonished about in Hildesheim?
And how do German citizens react, when they are confronted with the perspective of strangers on their home town?

In cooperation with professional film-makers of the Anachrom Filmproduktion there were created concentrated videos of high aesthetic quality.

During the shooting refugee adolescents and young persons raised in Germany got in contact with their fellow citizens and could slip into different roles in front of and behind the camera: lighting, sound, camera, presentation – at a film set all parts go hand in hand. The adolescents also created the concept and the texts for the web-videos on their own.

So the clash of cultures playfully led to insights into foreign worlds.

Lina Sharifi führt ein Interview zum Culture-Clash in Hildesheim. Florian Brand filmt, Julia Würth, sozialpädagogische Begleitung für die Cluster-Sozialagentur, sorgt fürs richtige LichtLina Sharifi, an Afghan journalist living and working in Hildesheim, also participated in the project CLASH.

In the series „Der kulturelle Unterschied“, which was published weekly in the local newspaper Hildesheimer Allgemeine Zeitung during the project, she reported about cultural differences between Germany and Afghanistan based on interviews with refugee adolescents. The interviews in Dari and the German translation are available on our website.

The Kurdish-Yezidi photographer Firas Darwish accompanied the shooting with his camera and provided precious new perspectives on the center of Hildesheim.

The premiere of CLASH is on September 23rd at 6 pm in the Goethegymnasium in Hildesheim. Afterwards the web-videos will be available here on www.clash-hildesheim.de.
